Hi

Its my first day of trying out the Speech Server 2007, I decided to try the samples before starting on developing something

I brought up the ConfirmUserInput sample and compiled it and ran according to instruction in the help. When I click on the "Call" button in the "Voice Response Debuggin Window" I get the error

Unable to establish session with remote party

Response Code: 403

Response Text : Forbidden

Any ideas how to resolve this ?

This could actually be a variety of things. The issue I had when I got this one was a networking issue. Open the Admin Console, on the General Tab of the Server Properties, in the Audio Settings, uncheck 'Use Default Audio Connection' and choose the IP you are using from the drop down. This solved my problem, but this could be a variety of issues, another thing I can think of of the top of my head is check your IIS permissions.

Thank you for your reply. However I dont know where to look for "Server Properties" there are many places where one might encounter that.

In the Speech Server Administrator Console, in the Server section you should be able to see your server, right click on your server and choose properties.

 I also try to do the tutorial with the pizza application, but I have a 405 error when I execute the Voice Response Debugging windows...

 Can you help me?

P.S. I want to make a multimodal webapplication wich enable speech in IE on Pocket PC, where can I found some example with SS2007?

MSS 2007 does not currently have multimodal support.

i was trying to follow the direction and the tutorial from making SALT application. after i follow all the tutorial, until the last step when i am trying to debug, it show this error. wondering has anyone been success with the PizzaOrder tutorial?

Hi!

I'm facing the same error, and I tracked the source of the problem. However, I cannot find the resolution to it.

I'm developing a SALT web site, with some QA controls. Whenever i select "Barge in" option from Property Builder (Voice Output item), it gives me this error. I figure that there is some missing configuration in Speech Server admin console, but my lack of knowledge doesn't allow me to go further to solve the problem. Any suggestions?

Well i found half of a solution. By associating those controls to a speech control settings item, and then setting at this item the barge in option, i get my objective accomplished. But I still wonder about this behaviour (that happens when no speech control settings is used nor associated to the qaControl).

This subject became a matter of curiosity since i got my task done, but still, a good explanation (if any) would be welcome, since it would give me a more profound understanding of salt.

argh, really sorry... there must be something that i'm missing... here's another piece of the problem... I cannot use a semantic item defined in semanticmap, without giving me this error!....... I have no clue of what's happening (i suspect it is an administration problem more than a development issue).

 

Any suggestion?...

Okay, this is my last post about this subject. Here's the (simple) trick to get more debug info, other than a simple forbidden message: Application Event Viewer logs every details on errors. The error messages are very descriptive, and has helping me to solve the problems that arise.

i get the same error(403-Forbidden) when i try to connect to the database which is in my virtual machine.I tried chaging audio settings ,stillit does not work.In audio connection IP, should i give the IP of my machine or my virtual machine. I have tried both though,it doesnot work either.I really appreciate if anyone can help me out with this.
